Tinubu 2027: City Boy Movement Storms Abia North with Grassroots Structure, Mobilizes Youths for National Agenda

The City Boy Movement (CBM), Abia State Chapter, led by State Director Mayor Lucky Igbokwe, has taken a bold step toward deepening grassroots political engagement with the inauguration of Unit and Ward Coordinators across the Abia North Senatorial Zone.

The strategic event, held in Ohafia Local Government Area, drew prominent stakeholders from the movement and the All Progressives Congress (APC), signaling a renewed drive toward youth inclusion and coordinated political participation ahead of the 2027 general elections.

Speaking at the inauguration, Abia North Zonal Coordinator, Hon. Dr. Lillian C. Obenwa, described the exercise as a deliberate move to empower leaders at the grassroots level. She urged coordinators to return to their communities and begin immediate mobilization efforts in support of national leadership and the reelection bid of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

Chairman of Ohafia APC Stakeholders, Chief Uche Ogboso, welcomed participants and emphasized unity as a critical factor in sustaining national progress. He commended the state leadership for bringing the initiative closer to the people.

Representing the newly inaugurated coordinators, Hon. Austine Emeka Bonny of Arochukwu LGA expressed appreciation for the opportunity to serve, pledging commitment to strengthening grassroots structures and advancing the movement’s objectives.

Delivering the keynote address, State Director Mayor Lucky Igbokwe highlighted community as the backbone of national development, stressing that meaningful progress begins from the grassroots. He pointed to ongoing reforms under President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s administration—particularly in economic restructuring and local government autonomy—as key drivers of long-term national growth.

Also addressing the gathering, State Patron Rt. Hon. Chinedum Orji called for sustained loyalty to the movement’s vision, urging members to remain focused on fostering political inclusion and supporting the President’s 2027 reelection ambition.

The inauguration marks a significant consolidation of the City Boy Movement’s structure in Abia North, reinforcing its commitment to grassroots mobilization, youth empowerment, and active participation in Nigeria’s national development trajectory.
