Mayor Lucky Igbokwe Unveils Abia South CBM Structure as Erondu Jr Powers Grassroots Drive with Six Buses

The City Boy Movement (CBM), Abia State Chapter, has taken a significant leap in strengthening its grassroots presence with the successful inauguration of its Local Government, Ward, and Unit Coordinators across the Abia South Senatorial Zone.

The inauguration ceremony, held at St. Anne’s Primary School, Obehie, Ukwa West, drew key stakeholders, political figures, and movement executives from across the state. Coordinators from Aba North, Aba South, Obingwa, Ugwunagbo, Ukwa East, and Ukwa West were officially sworn in, pledging commitment to the vision and ideals of the movement.

In a major boost to grassroots mobilization, Hon. Erondu Uchenna Erondu Jr donated six buses—one for each Local Government Area in Abia South—aimed at enhancing coordination, accessibility, and effective community engagement.

Speaking at the event, the Abia South Zonal Coordinator, Okezie Clement Erondu, expressed strong confidence in the newly inaugurated structure, assuring that the zone is well-positioned to deliver massive support for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu. He also commended the state leadership for their trust and support.

The event witnessed the presence of top dignitaries including the State Director, Mayor Lucky Igbokwe; State Patron, Rt. Hon. Chinedum Orji; State Coordinator, Chief Okechukwu Gberemako; and Chief Dr. Eruba Dimgba of the Niger Delta Development Commission, among others.

In his keynote address, Mayor Lucky Igbokwe described the inauguration as a defining moment for the movement, emphasizing youth inclusion, strategic engagement, and grassroots empowerment as the core pillars of CBM. He urged the newly sworn-in executives to see their roles as a call to service and to build inclusive and effective structures within their communities.

Reaffirming his support, the State Patron stressed the importance of keeping young people at the forefront of the movement, assuring that leadership decisions would continue to reflect youth-driven priorities while advocating for increased federal presence in Abia State.

The inauguration marks a strategic consolidation of the City Boy Movement’s influence in Abia South, positioning the zone as a vital force in advancing youth empowerment, political organization, and national development.
