Tinubu Reinstates NTA DG and Executive Director of News, Reverses Fresh Appointments

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has ordered the reinstatement of Mr. Salihu Abdullahi Dembos as the Director-General of the Nigerian Television Authority (NTA). Dembos, who was first appointed in October 2023, briefly vacated his position following management changes but will now return to complete his three-year tenure.

Also recalled is Mr. Ayo Adewuyi, the Executive Director of News, who was appointed in 2024. He will continue in his role until the end of his tenure in 2027.

With this directive, President Tinubu has set aside the recently announced appointments of a new director-general, executive director of news, executive director of marketing, and managing director of NTA Enterprises.

The decision was confirmed by the Special Adviser to the President, Bayo Onanuga.
