Abia state Government Set To Welcome Presidential Bola Ahmed Tinubu

Abia State is preparing for a historic moment as the President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, His Excellency, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR, visits the state on Friday, 3rd October 2025, to commission landmark road projects recently completed in Aba under the visionary leadership of Governor Alex Chioma Otti, OFR.

This presidential visit is not just about cutting ribbons—it is a celebration of progress, a recognition of the transformational strides already reshaping Abia, and a renewed partnership between the Federal Government and Abia State in the drive for sustainable infrastructure development.

The following completed road projects are scheduled for commissioning:

Port Harcourt Road (Dual Carriage Road, 3 lanes each with drainage) Ohanku Road Ndoki Road Ajiwe Street Umuatako Road Chief Nkoro Street and Spurs, Abayi, Aba Gabriel Nwosu Street

All the commissioned roads have been equipped with solar-powered floodlights, now established as the standard for road infrastructure in Abia—reflecting Governor Otti’s commitment to sustainable development, modernization, and safety for residents and businesses.

As part of the President’s visit, a Civic Reception will hold in his honour at the Aba Township Stadium by 10:00 a.m. prompt.
